This coming Sunday we will be gathering for worship at 9am on “The Barge”. We will be focusing our time on two different passages. We will first look at Genesis 32.22-32 and then we will look at Revelation 14.12. In the first passage we find Jacob wrestling with God, and through this encounter Jacob is forever changed. He now has a new name and has a new walking limp. In the second passage we then find the proclamation that calls for the endurance of the saints and for those saints to keep the faith. There is something to be said for Jacob’s perseverance and determination —– and that looks much like the endurance we are called to as saints. For following Jesus requires all of who we are, and it involves a lifetime. Let’s gather together to learn more about what God is saying to us and how we live that out.
