This coming Sunday we will be gathering for worship at 9am on “The Barge”. “The Barge” is located at 106 S. Water Street in downtown Wilmington. We will be focusing our time on Ecclesiastes 11.1-6. This will be our conclusion to the book of Ecclesiastes. We will notice right away that there really isn’t a conclusion and a fancy bow placed on top of this book. The only thing that even comes close is found in 12.13: “Fear God, and keep his commandments; for that is the whole duty of everyone.” We will be taking a look at how Solomon helps us to get to the end of who we think we are —— which is a place of humility —— and in that place we then can properly stand with our sisters & brothers who are on the journey alongside of us. This standing and journeying through the path of humility is one that takes strength, perseverance, intentionality, and consistency. With that in mind let’s gather together and wrap up the book of Ecclesiastes.
