This coming Sunday we will be gathering for worship at Temple of Israel (1 S. 4th Street – downtown Wilmington) at 9am.  We will be focusing our time on Luke 10.1-12.  In this passage we learn that the townspeople welcomed the disciples and shared food their food.  In verse 7 the townspeople provided food for the disciples and the food was payment for their labor.  As we welcome people into our city, how can we share food?  We are called to be a city of welcome and in that calling we are to invite folks to labor in God’s Kingdom.  That invitation includes table fellowship, for we are working in this Godly Kingdom and the fellowship around the table is our wages.
