This coming Sunday we will be gathering for worship at 9am on “The Barge”. We will be focusing our time on Mark 6.30-56. In this passage we are presented with Jesus feeding the 5,000, and Jesus walking on water, and Jesus healing the sick in Gennesaret. At the end of chapter 6 it says that “they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged him that they might touch even the fringe of his cloak.” Here we are presented with our theme on a much grander scale —– remember we have been looking at the Gospel of Mark through the lens of the woman with never ending hemorrhage of blood. Here many folks are trying to reach out to Jesus and touch him. Let’s gather together and learn more about what this healing touch means for us as a church.
