On Sunday we will be gathering for worship at 9am at Temple of Israel. We will be focusing on Jeremiah 8.18 – 9.1. In this passage the prophet says that he is hurt along with his people, yet the prophet calls out to God in verse 22: “Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then has the health of my poor people not been restored?” The weeping prophet is petitioning the God of the people for their very health. Let us gather together and learn more about this balm in Gilead.
