This coming Sunday we will be gathering for worship on “The Barge” at 9am. We will be focusing on Jeremiah 24.1-10. In this passage Jeremiah has a vision of two baskets that have figs in them. The first basket had figs that were perfect for eating. The second basket had figs that had totally spoiled and were not fit for consumption. The Lord reveals to Jeremiah that those in exile in Babylon are those who good figs and those who fled to Egypt and/or stayed behind in Jerusalem are like the bad figs. Come and let us learn more about this understanding of exile as a time of building back up.
