This coming Sunday we will be gathering for worship at 9am on “The Barge”. We will be focusing our time on Mark 1.16-28. In this passage we find Jesus going with his four new disciples to Capernaum. While in Capernaum Jesus goes and begins teaching in the Synagogue, and while at the Synagogue a man possessed by an unclean spirit shows up. The unclean spirit begins crying out in the middle of the teaching —— and Jesus rebukes the spirit. We see here that Jesus is one with authority —– he doesn’t teach like many of the teachers of that time —– instead he teaches as one who has conviction and is knowledgeable of the truth. Let’s gather together and learn more of what it means to know this Jesus, the Holy One of God.
