This coming Sunday we will be gathering for worship at 9am on “The Barge”. We will be focusing our time on Mark 10.17-31. In this passage we meet a man who runs up to Jesus and asks him about what he must do to inherit eternal life (v17). Jesus tells him he must keep the commandments, and the man says that he had kept them since his youth (v20). Jesus then says: “You lack one thing; go, sell what you own, and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me” (v21). The man goes away grieving for he had many possessions. Let’s gather together and learn about the way of following Jesus —— and how we are called to surrender everything to him.
