This coming Sunday we will be gathering for worship at 9am on “The Barge”. We will be focusing our time on John 6.41-59. In this passage Jesus says: “Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood have eternal life, and I will raise them up on the last day.” As we gather together for worship at The Anchor we celebrate the Lord’s Supper. It is a supper where Jesus is present with us in a profound and mysterious way. Jesus says to celebrate this meal in remembrance of him and to feed on him. Remember, Jesus is the slain lamb from the Passover feast —— and at that feast the lamb was to be consumed. Now we consume the lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world —— so that we might be the body of Christ for the benefit of the world. Let’s gather together and learn more of what it means to taste and see that the Lord is good.
