This coming Sunday we will be gathering for worship at 9am at our temporary location of the 5th Avenue Church fellowship hall (409 S. 5th Avenue – downtown Wilmington). We will be focusing our time on Ecclesiastes 2.1-11. In this passage we begin to hear all the great things that King Solomon accomplished. Things like: building houses, planting vineyards, buying people, possessing herds & flocks of animals, gathering silver & gold….. And in the end he pronounces that this was nothing other then “vanity and a chasing after wind” (2.11). As we give ourselves over to the desires that we have — we end up chasing after the wind. What would it be like to live a different life? A life that was not a chasing after wind? Let us gather and learn more about the life God has called us to that is found in Jesus Christ.
