This coming Sunday we will be gathering for worship at 9am on “The Barge”. We will be focusing our time on Mark 9.2-10. In this passage we see Peter, James, John, and Jesus go up on a high mountain. On that high mountain the prophet Elijah and Moses visit them —— and Jesus’ clothes become dazzling white. During the conversation that Jesus, Elijah, and Moses are having there is suddenly a cloud that overshadows all of them, and a voice comes from the cloud that pronounces: “This is my Son, the Beloved; listen to him!” Let’s all gather together and learn more about this mysterious encounter and how this helps us to understand Jesus.
