This coming Sunday we will be gathering for worship in a different location in the fellowship hall of 5th Avenue Church (409 S. 5th Avenue) at 9am. This will be temporary as “The Barge” is being repaired. We will be focusing our time on Matthew 25.31-46. In this passage Jesus says: “I was a stranger and you welcomed me.” Jesus aligns himself with the stranger —— the one that doesn’t have friends / family —— and the one who is need of welcome. How have we been welcomed as outsiders? —— and how have we welcomed the stranger into our lives? Let us gather together and learn what the Holy Spirit is inspiring us to participate in as sisters & brothers in Christ.
