The Heavenly Banquet

This coming Sunday we will be gathering for worship at 9am on “The Barge”. We will be focusing our time on Matthew 26.26-30. In this passage we hear this phrase from Jesus in v29: “I tell you, I will never again drink of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.” The Lord’s Supper gives us a glimpse into this heavenly banquet that we will celebrate with Jesus. It will be something new —- and it will be something glorious —– while at the same time we get to experience this now. Jesus gives us this supper so that we can anticipate the great supper. A supper where there will be more then enough food and all will be invited. Let’s gather together and learn more about this anticipation and expectation.
