This coming Sunday we will be gathering for worship at 9am on “The Barge”. We will be focusing our time on Luke 24.13-35. In this passage we are introduced to two disciples that are making a trek to a town called Emmaus. Along the road they meet a stranger who begins a conversation with them and travels with them. When the disciples invited the stranger to stay with them upon arriving at Emmaus, they had their eyes opened in the breaking of the bread. The disciples then knew the stranger was Jesus. This is mysterious —— and it points to the mystery of Christ being present with us in the Lord’s Supper. Let’s gather together and learn more of what this mystery is in the breaking the bread and drinking from the cup.
