Why is the Lord’s Supper important?

This coming Sunday we will be gathering for worship at 9am on “The Barge” (106 S. Water Street – downtown Wilmington). We are beginning a deep look at the Lord’s Supper —— and why it is important. At The Anchor we partake of communion weekly, and in many ways this holy meal is what makes us who we are. But why is this meal so important? We will be looking closely at this for 16 weeks and we invite you to journey with us. Of course, we will go to the book of Exodus to begin. We will begin with the story of the Passover and why that affects our understanding of what Jesus told us to remember him by. Please read in advance Exodus 12.1-27. See you then.
