This coming Sunday we will be gathering for worship on “The Barge” at 9am. We will be starting a new book of the Bible this Sunday. We are transitioning from Ephesians to 1 John. 1 John is a letter to the Johannine Community. We will be looking closely at 1 John 1.1-4. In this passage we learn of John’s emphasis that the declaration of Jesus being the Son of God has to do with touching, seeing, and hearing. John’s emphasis on the senses then allows us to be in fellowship with one another (v3). For in this fellowship we can be formed together around Jesus. Let’s gather together and learn more about this fellowship that is found in the Johannine Community.
