This coming Sunday we will be gathering for worship at 9am on “The Barge”.  We will be focusing our time on Luke 10.1-12.  In this passage we learn that the townspeople welcome the disciples that Jesus sent to their tables and to their homes.  They do this because the disciples have been sent by Jesus and are being received by people that have chosen to be people of peace.  They welcome them and they go to work doing what Christ commissioned them to do.  The townspeople extend to the disciples dignity because their identity is found in the one who sent.  All are invited to come and celebrate the choice to be people of peace on this last Sunday on “The Barge” for the warmer months.
